Why are Isekai criticized for having a cliche setting while School anime are not?

What do you guys think about this ?
I am sure most of the people like to watch anime with a school setting without it getting criticized much.
 
It’s not so much it being a cliche, it’s more of most of the big name isekai have the same exact setup, whereas the school shows have different setups for the plot.
 
Schools can differ greatly, some are battle, some are slice of life, while isekai is all about spirited away and surviving.

well, in the end they are he same lol
isekai is about some game or some other world and school is well, just school even in anime.

Well the ones that take place in video games are the ones getting criticism. A ton of them have the premise of “Guy wakes up in a video game world, is now super OP, and also has a harem for some reason”.

and that's just a cliche where some nerd guy who doesn't have a decent social life suddenly getting a harem calling.
 
Isekai is far more popular
With the same concept there are too many anime, hoping to hit the top like SAO and LH but it's all futile
