Why are honorifics in anime not translateable?

Do you think there could be an equivalent honorific for 'san', 'chan', 'kun', 'sama' in English?
Is that why we see them a lot in English subbed anime episodes?

If they existed, they would have put them in the subtitles.

it's a local thing
and i highly doubt other people can understand those things and not many languages got easiest stuff to translate and the same goes in anime too.
