Why Anime studios from the past can't keep up with the new ones?

Do you think there could be some specific reason for this?
Or do you think it's common when it comes to any industry? So, what do you guys think?
 
i don't know lol
may be they are too accustomed to the old ways and can't adapt and stop making more anime?
