I used to get my info from magazine. There was a time when i subscribe game magazine, in the magazine there is also a section about anime, there is synopsis and scoring to help me decide whether if i'd watch a series or not. It was early to mid 2000's
In last few years i use internet as my information source, mainly from googling and now i come across this forum as additional

i just browse them for genres.
and sometimes i look for my favorite authors recent work like minasa misara

r/anime. It's a big big community and you pretty much won't miss anything and there's no fake news as well so that's a good thing. Plus lots of other good stuff.

A mixture of good connections and Mangarock. Or youtube, or just pure curiosity i enjoy my own genres' but sometimes  i get bored of them and find completely different ones.

i never knew of manga rock before you.
why do you like that website so much? isn't manga fox and manga here and manga go, so much popular than manga rock?
