I don't.
I watch them if they are interesting. Usually, I am not a sports person.

How do you understand about the sports like the rules and how to play it? Is it explained on the anime? Because in football anime is not (H2 too), the author assumed the audience already know it

One outs kind of made me interested in baseball. But it wasn't enough to really continue that interest after the anime ended. That anime at least would be much better appreciated if you knew baseball.

Usually, the basics are explained in the anime.
I haven't seen anime that doesn't explain the basic rules, so far :D

Haikyuu, Kuroko no basuke, One outs, battery, All out, and many other anime explained the basics.
It's very common now

The only sports I follow are Cricket(very very closely) and Tennis whenever Grand Slam tournaments arrive(that too only matches of top players). However I do try to learn the rules of the sport whenever I watch a sport anime. However I have only watched anime involving baseball(One Outs, which is more of a gambling/mind game anime) and Haikyuu(volleyball). I didn't like baseball all that much because it's much inferior to cricket and I really liked Volleyball but I haven't yet found a proper league to follow nor do I have the time.

Haven't heard of H2 but One Outs is a very unique sports anime in the same vein as Death Note, just involves baseball as I said.

nope, I watched prince of tennis mainly because toonami was airing it and I had nothing else to watch. I'm not really a huge fan of tennis.
