What's your definition of good anime and over hyped anime?

Sometimes it's hard to tell them apart. There is also the reason of how you don't have to like what others do.
So, how would you differentiate it?

i think i usually make lots of threads without any well sort out thoughts. i am starting to see that

Usually that's the case.
When you expect a bit too much, it's bound to be a disappointment, at some point.

but usually people assume others wouldn't just get what the anime is about, if you don't like the anime. i think that logic is nonsensical lol
