What's the concept of others rating the anime list you have watched?

I don't get this concept. If someone were to criticise my anime listing, I would want them to stick their opinions to themselves. Do you like it?

I’m talking about you guys rating things yourself. Why are there monthly topics on you guys rating stuff?

IMO I would want to know whether something is worth my time or not. It can be any genre and by making use of rating we can see it's true worth

I am obsessed with rating an anime and it gives me an understanding to judge an anime with just peer rating. TBH I am glad that others are obsessed as well, just like me

I just don’t understand why you guys keep making countless threads being obsessed with rating stuff. It seems like such a benign thing that you guys seem overly worried about, to the point where you seem more focused on rating things than watching things, based on the amount of threads of the two topics.

Sometimes you watch it for something else rather than entertainment. I was obsessed with covering all the genres and trying to watch at least one anime for an alphabet. It didn't matter much to me how boring that anime was. So yes, sometimes we do get distracted but there is no way one would admit that those are pointless things

I believe it does. If you want to watch anime, you would want to watch the best ones out there and not the boring ones. Good ones using have good ratings and it can help people decide whether an anime is worth watching or not and rarely, the anime would be good despite the rating. So in a way, I am obsessed with the rating

I asked about why you make countless threads on ratings and you responded with the anime alphabet. I basically asked you what the temperature was and you responded with telling me what the price of eggs in China were.

I did tell you ratings matter and some people might think these are silly like ratings and watching anime in alphabetical order etc , but these are appealing to people like me. That's why we place importance in such things
