what to do with reputation?

is there something that can be done with reputation? i noticed it that i have some reputation to my name and i began to wonder what its about? i don't think it appears in statistics

then it doesn't have anything relevant to the roleplay too. i think i got this. it's like facebook likes that we get for our posts which isn't much but people are crazy for them.
 
It isn't really appropriate to compare likes on facebooFwith the reps around here. 
Not like I am too old with the forums but I remember members used to give reputation only to those who won a SotW (Signature of the Week) contest few years ago... It was such a huge thing to recevie that xD full of prestige. 
Now everything is just relevant or irrelevant perhaps... useless or useful...

i don't care for facebook likes and i don't get why you think it's not appropriate. you won't get anything from those likes and from this reputation.

I like facebook likes too and care too much about them but I am afraid that SecretWish is right about significance. It doesn't have any materialistic significance to it.
 
Well, this thread has gone from 'What is reputation' to 'likes vs reputation'.

Well, for now we might not have anything planned for reputation but we could make use of it in roleplay.
