What makes you feel happy when you are in an anime community?

That would be worse
You would eventually lost track of the forum, if it takes so long to get a response.

Yup and when i first come here they respond to me fast, i also registered in another forum but they never responded to me so i forget about them

No wonder there.
I wouldn't want to join a forum, who doesn't care about me. You made good choice.

I'm glad to see you here too, you're fun to talk with

Thank you for saying that
At first I hadn't thought of interacting with others much. It was like a favor to Angel but I don't feel that way now.

most of the anime communities die in the end.
i remember bleach asylum at first.
I meant more of how I don't miss a lot of old anime communities because of the lack of quality/diversity in conversation.

There were two primary flavors:

1: They only cared about ultra popular shows that were on TV. There were only about a dozen (give or take a couple) shows that they cared about, and everything else pretentious hipster trash.

2: They knew about shows outside of those 12 shows in the other community, but cared more about whining about fandom checking or whining over fansub wars.

Since I didn't fall into either category and just wanted to talk about shows I liked, this got annoying very fast. I like that Crunchyroll changed that, and I can find rando's who know about other shows to just have a casual conversation with.

This is also the reason why i like MAF. To be blunt.. i think a forum with particular anime series name on it is lame, like.. Bleach forum, Naruto forum, One Piece forum, Dragon Ball forum, i prefer wide spectrum forum like this, the concept is not narrow. Besides.. yes that kind of forum is speak for theyself, just by looking at their name you'll know what kind of crowd in there, and there will be minimum to zero room for series outside their dedicated series

I'm pretty aware that MAF used to be a dedicated forum for particular series, i'm glad that boss Clara decided to change the name

Tbh I’d rather a forum specifically be titled that it’s dedicated to a specific series, at least I can tell who it’s targeted at. At least I know that if I go on say, a FPS forum, I know I’m gonna look like an asshole for complaining that nobody there cares about Final Fantasy.

This used to be a One piece forum. Later we changed that but you can still find a lot of posts on One piece, as most of the folks here follow the series :D

I was here from the beginning man.
I don't remember how I managed to find this place and I think I was searching for Anime manga forum, at that time
