What made you stick with anime?

Just like any other series like drama, movies, comics, anime covers all the genres and it had good and bad ones.
So, what made you stick with anime?
For me, it's because of the wide variety of genres.

Sense of escapism, real life drama can be a bit too realistic for me sometimes and I'm watching things to be entertained and not be remained of the grim reality that exists outside. Also I like animation itself as a medium, with the right people they can reduce dialogues to a minimum and use its potential to the fullest, like Studio Bones or Ghibli.

Animation got charm but too bad that people are prejudiced against animation.... Especially in our country.
As for the dialogues, you might change your mind if you focus only on one piece.
There are more dialogues in one piece than action

No I'm not talking about One Piece at all, I'm saying in general I prefer to have less dialogues, especially anime that are adaptations of manga because they are often cringe-worthy.

That makes more sense now.
As I have been following only one piece, I didn't get a chance to think about other anime for almost a month now.

I just like so many fantasys brought to life in such a colorful way. It goes from dark to light and amazing to gruesome.

I know most people see anime as some unique different type of media and it somewhat is but I see it pretty similar to other types of media like movies and TV shows which I still watch a lot of so for me its just more like that no reason to stop watching I guess. Kind of a hard question to answer.

There are some people who would think it's better than movies man.
But I agree with you it's just another entertainment for me

I decided to stick with anime because of how interesting, funny and unique every anime that I have come across so far is.
