Do you think school teaches you too much stuff you end up never having a use for? This is like an american's perspective on the matter and their school system and they complain more than anyone else in the world about what they are made to learn. I think the video doesn't even take into account how small the bubble of knowledge learned in school is compared to all the knowledge that exists in any discipline. And if you don't teach them that much, they're gonna have no chance of ever learning more or working in said discipline. I mean if you've gotten the hang of differential equations I don't think learning to do your taxes or finances is even going to be something you need to think too much about because while you were learning about that "worthless stuff" you've been exercising your brain which is kind of the point of school.

This song is pretty true, there is a lot more they could be teaching but there I was, 12th grade having my 12th english class that went over the same type of literature.

Second about the content of the song, this guy don't have any idea about what he singing about. Since we were kids we need to be teach in various subject to experienced various kind of knowledge and discover our interest, that's the point of early stage of our study, along the way we will discard things we don't need and focus with things we interested. Once again.. the point is to experienced knowledge and discover our interest

Well i can't imagine myself studying only math since i was kid to teen haha..
