It is blacklisted and I am using hootsuite but the ads are making me crazy.Davis said:as i said above if oyu keep your router off after a certain when you switch it back on your ISP will assign you a different one.
not sure on the time frame as each ISP is different.
why do you need a different one ?
unless your current one is blacklisted and you are having trouble accessing it you shouldn't need to do it.

Pop-ups and inappropriate ads aren't my cup of tea.
Then is there any other way to figure this out?
My IP seems to be black-listed permanently and unless I change it, I can't access this forum.

Aren't you forgetting that the people who play most bucks can get a static IP instead of a dynamic IP?Davis said:well try what i said, your ISP should automatically give you another IP to use, if not maybe phone them up and ask them.
ItachiSasuke said:Aren't you forgetting that the people who play most bucks can get a static IP instead of a dynamic IP?
May be that IP he is talking about must have been a static IP address.
Davis said:well he hasn't specified, generally 3/4 of people will have a dynamic IP anyways.
but yeah if he has paid more he can get a static one
ItachiSasuke said:Things happen and not everyone can get the same IP like he had mentioned.
Davis said:well it depends what the issue is, if its due to his IP being blacklisted, if you disconnect your service for certain amount of time your ISP will automatically re assign you a new IP when you turn it back on.
each ISP does it after certain amount of time but its different with other ISP's
ItachiSasuke said:I don't know that much.
I am still learning tid bits of things. So, if I call my ISP, they can just give me new IP?
DemonKing said:I don't know whether I got special IP or not but I have the same IP every time.
That much I know.
Sindar said:I looked at the moderation logs, it doesn't seem like anyone banned you. Has no idea what happened, might be a technical issue. Sorry.
Davis said:possibly or they will suggest what you can do, it might literally be leaving your router off until the IP pool your ISP has assigns you a new IP
well you might just be using one session for a long time so you still have the same IP, like if your service dropped, it the might use another IP then.
or you might have a static one.
but i wouldn't think so.
ItachiSasuke said:Is that why we are trying to have new IP's?
The available Ip's are less and more people are using internet
Davis said:well most country's still use ipv4... ipv4 has about 4 billion IP address... think about the population and how many devices are in the world... its true they are running out... they have got ipv6 which some places do use now but not that many to my knowledge
lets say when everyone is on ipv6 you will never run out..
its capable of 340 undecillion addresses which is 340 trillion trillion trillion
ItachiSasuke said:With our population growth you will have to accept that may be we will have o go for IPv8 in the far away future.
Davis said:i don't think we will ever use IPv6
ItachiSasuke said:Don't be so sure about it.
In 10 years we might just use it.
