I suddenly got a blue static and it kept on like that, until I forced shut it down. What happened? Anyone here experienced this before with your computer?

you could post in an expert forum. they would give you good advice and you wouldn't have to worry about the matter anymore. i recommend windows 7 forums

I had a thing where my laptop just got a bluescreen when I tried to start it. It got it's hard disk wiped somehow and had to get rid of it.

Sounds like your video card could be going or your monitor is about to kick the bucket. How old is the PC?

It's more than 3 years and I don't remember the date.

I am able to boot it up today. May be some passing error? I don't want to think it's worse.

My case was incredibly random and unfortunate and seemingly rare. Doesn't look like yours is anything remotely similar but keep some backup of your important stuff in it.

Definitely wasn't a display problem. I got it checked too.

I forgot about the backup. I better take my important files elsewhere. I have had it for only 3 years. How can a laptop be useful for only this short time? Thanks

Problems aren't always predictable.

how much did it cost you to replace it? it's probably cheaper to get a new one entirely than replacing an expensive LED display screen or harddisk or RAM.
