What do you think about the declining medieval fantasy genre?

We don't see such anime much anymore.
What do you guys think? Do you think it's a bad change? Or are you not a fan of medieval fantasy shows?

Most Isekai’s take place in a medieval setting, so if you like magic and knights, it didn’t really go anywhere, they just have video game mechanics added to it.

isekai is always about video games and it doesn't seem real at all
i would rather watch a good fantasy series than an isekai

It's just a phase man.
All the genres are getting equal popularity and with one hit, similar anime would pop up

that i agree too
anime is something people think always gets similar anime, if one thing gets the popularity.

It really is kind of sad that its mostly only used in Isekai anime or some kind of video game setting.

I didn't know there was a decline in these. I do prefer this genre even when it comes to movies. Haven't really come across any anime like this yet though

Try Magic Knight Ray Earth or Scrapped Princess

I am sorry to hear that
People can break that trust too easily and I feel like you have been betrayed before.
