What criteria does an anime have to pass BEFORE you start watching it?

It can be anything .
As for me, it should have good plot, no nudity and I wouldn't watch it if it's got too much gore. What about you guys?

Don't you care about sound tracks or the art at all?
Very old art wouldn't make pick an anime. It took me a long time, to pick One piece because of that.

Well when the show isn’t out yet, I don’t hear the soundtrack.

Well, trailers can give us a glimpse of what to expect.
I do watch them sometimes, when I just can't decide whether to watch an anime or not.

I see.
Usually if the story is interesting, I don't care about the music much but if that is not the case, then I would want some good OST at least for that anime

there is nothing that can be done but i am sure as long as a story is good, then it's all cool.
 
It can be anything like a good story and cool anime characters with good music
There isn't anything else I would ask for
