I've been recommended My Happy Marriage from at least 3 different people that know me enough to believe I'd enjoy it. I actually tried on my own before and dropped it pretty early on. It just felt like such a cliché and I just couldn't finish getting behind any of the main characters. Like I am supposed to be amazed by the male lead and feel the protagonist like a very complex character based on how the characters around were acting but I just couldn't get it.
But yeah, apparently I am missing on something here so I am giving it another chance. I switched dub from Latam dub to English and that seems to be helping. the protagonist is a lot more bearable so maybe is just the extra-extra formal way of speaking she has in Spanish what made me hard to feel the connection with the Kudo guy believable.

Honestly it has been far from impressive. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are really into romantic stuff mixed with a bit of fantasy. It has some intrigue mixed in but I feel like a lot falls down if you stop and think about it. Like the ML position feels so in the air like a plot device so he can be wherever he needs to be at the time. we are supposed to be seeing the FL becoming stronger and more confident but I feel like she keeps retracing steps in a matter that doesn't feel that believable.
Also, I just realized you asked me something and never got back to you about it.
I watched the original anime, but this one on Netflix is new, it is faster pace and tries to remain close to the manga.
To be honest, the English dub is not bad, although some people don't like some of the changes done, but it is minimal.
In Spanish is a bit bittersweet because not all the voices from the original were cast back. I think it was a very good first season and I am looking forward for the next one.
I am a tad concerned that since production is based on audience interest, there is still a chance this adaptation won't be able to adapt the manga all the way to the end.
yeah happened too many times before where the ending is different just because it pleases most of the audience.
i think that's an injustice to the mangaka
