No I only watched the first 5 episodes around 4 years ago and put it on-hold. I'm watching it properly this time.

I have the 2016 downloaded version. So I have been thinking of watch it... But if it's really bad, then I would download and watch the 1997 version

The 2016 version starts around chapter 130 so good luck trying to understand it.

Yeah but I think both cover the same chapters albeit in different ways. Plus the 1997 version is in 2D whereas the movie trilogy is in 3D.

I picked up Darling in the FranXX again, I only watched a few episodes when it aired and didn't think much of it and started watching it again and I gotta say its gotten pretty good.

Sure and let me know what you think of them. Right now I'm only planning to watch the 1997 version. I'm gonna read the manga after that. I got hold of the official Dark Horse English Translated version of all 38 volumes of Berserk.

No it has a lot of romance. I'd say it gives as much importance to the romance as the actual plot.
