Most anime fans don’t pay as much attention to the audio as much as they claim. You can see that in how they’re overly critical towards English dubs (because they understand the language) but Japanese dubs are always 10/10 perfect. Perfect casting, perfect acting.
The same thing towards English dubs having the same voice actors over and over, but don’t realize that half of their favorite shows have a lot of reoccuring Japanese actors.

People do think some VAs of subbed versions are horrible man.
Especially for the characters which try to drag on their words and sentences.

I’ve never seen anyone mention anything about people dragging out the words. People complaining about Japanese voice acting in the anime community are usually unicorns.

Probably Monogatari but I don't think there's any dub. Though tbh when I saw English subtitles for films in my mother tongue on Netflix they missed almost every word play and came across as very dry. So either way it's a loss but I'd imagine more effort is put into subs for anime.
