What anime/manga would you personally recommended to a newbie fans?

And as usual, why would you recommend it?

Oh right.. let's say that the guy is male in early 20's and just know anime from major series
 
Depends on weather I'm trying to give honest recommendation or just tell him something to get him off by back. For the first case I'd tell him some shounen action show he hasn't seen and for the second case I'd listen to what he likes in previous anime and other shows and pick something based on that.

For the first case.. what titles would you offer to him?
 
Well I'm still a newbie myself but I would definitely recommend Code Geass and Violet Evergarden
If they like bl well most definitely Daikaichi
As for manga it would depend on if they like romance or not
 
My go to answer for this question is Death Note. Other than that probably One Punch Man or Attack on Titan or Code Geass. Even Naruto isn't that bad an option but it's so popular that I don't mention it.

Nice titles. If the newbie is younger, like 13-15, would you recommend the same?
