What anime genre do you feel is most under-explored

For me, that would be horror. It can be a lot more exciting in my opinion. What about you guys?

but i feel there aren't enough anime for shonen ai when compared to yaoi lol

I don't think anything is under-explored like you put it. Usually something gets the popularity when many people find it appealing and compelled to watch but if something lacks attention then it doesn't mean, people haven't put effort in brining it to the light before.

but if something gets popular many shows will follow it lol
in the same genre and using the similar concept that it's very similar to the hit anime
