No, the local electric trains.

Hmm....I have never been to any station while I am in Chennai. So, I didn't know that they got electric trains over there O.O
Are you talking about metro station or something?

Metro trains work within Chennai. My Uni is outside Chennai(within Greater Chennai, yes, but it's still not within the city). I'm pretty sure you'll recognize this image:

Damn...I am an Idiot. I don't know any other trains except the ones that run with electricity. I was thinking about magnetic field.
Never mind....do you get any empty seats at all? As trains are cheaper, they are far too crowded as far as I know.

I travel with a first-class pass, so, I get seats. Plus my station is the 4th one in the route and my Uni's station is among the last, so it's easy to get a seat.

I see. when you said first class, I thought you were talking about 1 AC. My bad. It's good though. You don't have to book those tickets months in advance

Local train tickets can be bought only on the day of the journey unless it's a season pass which usually lasts for one month or 3 months.

I see. Well, what about the timings? I guess they are on time....otherwise you wouldn't use them on a daily basis now...would you?
