The Rising of the shield hero episode 4 discussion

This was a really nice episode and raphtalia is a loveable character. I liked the part where she talked him out of the dark place he was in enough to watch it twice. But even though that scene was really great I feel the characters are so shallow and lacking development and you don't know them at all a scene like this is way too early cause it can have a lot more impact later on.

Also fuck myne.

A pretty infuriating episode to watch honestly. I just hope he isn't all submissive as the episodes go on because he pretty much lets them walk all over him. He has to lash out at some point. I feel like most of the series is gonna be focused on Naofumi and Raphtalia, and the ones who get any sort of development are the people joining him(seems unlikely now though).
Also yeah Myne's a bitch.

The manga readers said this series is just going to make you angry.

They are emphasizing the fact that he can't.

No not physically I did notice that he was level 21 and the spear guy was 43(which is again odd since a power difference like that would ensure that the guy can just pummel through the defense unless it's ridiculously strong). I meant verbally you know, it feels like he's just taking shit, when I saw episodes 1 and 2 I assumed he'd be an outward asshole to everyone and he kinda is but not that much.
It's just a nitpick though I'll probably forget it as I watch more episodes.

If he was that would make the show more entertaining for me.

Gaah, I thought people were going to get wrecked with what was happening at the end. Oh well, I'm still enjoying this so far and look forward to future episodes.
