The Rising of the Shield Hero Episode 1 Discussion

This is an isekai anime from Winter 2019 and is about 4 guys who get re-incarnated to this world and are each given one supreme weapon. However, a conspiracy arises against the Shield Hero, our main protagonist, and it's about how he deals with it. This is a double-length episode(about 45 minutes) and was the usual generic Light Novel Isekai stuff, until a certain something happens, and it was pretty entertaining after that. This is probably the most popular new anime from this season, and give this episode a go, and if whatever happens interests you, continue.

I was extremely advised to watch and keep up with this anime. So I did, despite the 1st episode being the length of two episodes.

I must say it really sucked me in and I can tell this is going to be an awesome series.

Yeah it looked really promising, especially since we haven't exactly seen this specific type of isekai all that much before.

It's gonna be 2-cour so you'll probably have plenty of time, more so if another shitty season like Summer 2018 come along.

just letting y'all know there is a manga version i was planning on making a review on it sometime, but it has around 50-60 chapters. it's pretty darn good

a very strong willed rouge hero will make for a very interesting watch indeed.
 
I just watched this. I was sure I was gonna drop it after the first episode because this isekai stuff gets old so fast it isn't even funny but that plot twist and stuff makes this show hype.

Yeah if not for that I'd have dropped. Already watched way too much Isekai for my liking and dropped a few(like Grimgar for example).
 
That is so cliche man. I don't think I want to watch this after reading the spoiler :cheers:
If you still like this after watching 2 more episodes then I might change my mind

I'm pretty sure we haven't had an Isekai anime like that and I have indeed watched more than 2 episodes.

Than I will watch it too. I am getting disappointed a lot with the anime that I am picking and need a good anime
