this is great news.

i will be looking forward to it and there is so much potential for this anime
 
Although I don't like reading on going manga I'll probably start it when this season ends but if its early 2020 then it isn't really that far away and I'll probably just wait but that depends on how much of a cliff hanger this next episode is.

I probably am not gonna watch it honestly it was a big snooze-fest plus the source material readers themselves say the first arc is the best arc in the manga.

i don't get why you don't like it.
it's got the suspense, action, unpredictability, gore in it.
it's the perfect combination
 
It pretty much confirms this next episode will be a hardcore cliff hangar. At least we get timely news now a days for seasons 2s.

Actually the lack of those things is why I don't like it but I don't want to needlessly harp on it when everyone else here likes it so much.
 
A great news.
I would follow the manga after the season 1 ended.
I might or might not watch the anime

lack of those things? emma cut her ear, norman might have died, isabella killed sister krone, ray is isabella's son, isabella used to be a kid in those plants, are any of these predictable?

Here's the thing about "predictability", it's not just about things that happen that you don't expect, there needs to be a build-up, which is related to suspense. To me the whole anime felt like characters sitting around and talking, there was no thriller element to it, which I've seen done better in a ton of anime out there.
None of those things were predictable but not exactly surprising either.

they are building it up plenty good. when you saw the creepy eyes of krone and isabella, didn't they give you any creeps?
not knowing what will happen to the children always made me sit at the edge of my chair

i agree that they are very common.
everyone liked it and i don't get why you don't like it. it's a good anime and done very well too. you must have expected way more and got disappointed
