i don't think cree wants to make kris unhappy in anyway
but being not able to give anything like freedom to him, is eating him alive.
 
That is indeed the way things should be
Freedom is everything for people of any kind and taking it away is just like murdering a person.

i think kris gave up too soon and he should run away before resigning himself for his fate.
