Sleeping in trains

i sleep in most of the train journey that i do. i don't like staying awake and doing something with my phone.

Honestly, I don't remember the last time, that I have been in a train.
I don't like trains all that much. I use buses to commute most of the time, sleeper class is a good choice.

If I'm alone I sleep. If I'm with friends, I don't. And if I don't feel sleepy I listen to songs when I'm alone. I go by train everyday, and it's really boring and monotonous and you can't help but sleep.

Aren't trains too crowdy in India? I can't imagine using them daily.
I hope you could have some other transport provided by your college rather than taking a train daily.

Local trains in Chennai aren't all that crowded during early mornings and afternoons and that's when my timings are. Plus, I go by first class.

Depends.
Travelling 20 stations before changing trains can be tiring sometimes, so I make sure to sleep a bit, but still keep my eyes in tact so I know when I arrive at the station I have to get out.

This becomes more difficult during rush hours, trains would get too crowded to even have the room to sleep at all (and I mean in a sitting position).

I see. Japan trains are truly something. They are great to use and not so expensive when compared to other means of transportation.

This is a text book example of what a character who misses their stop does in anime :P

that's good. waiting can be tiring. as long as they don't have too many technical difficulties that causes the train to stop, it's all good. and anime can be wrong

i never missed my stop

Technical difficulties do exist, but most are only when there's a typhoon or a heavy earthquake.
Though I did experience once while there was none of that, train staff apologised everyone 4 million times, and was back on track soon after.

in anime everything stops frequently and train molestation is more in japan. there are many things in anime

Usually people tend to judge things based on what they know. Many anime protray different things. I agree that in order to have a story, something unnatural should happen. Otherwise it would be boring too watch.

But that's anime.
Neither I have seen a student killing criminals in real life with a notebook.
Even then, the amount of criminals here are at a bare minimum (only like 6 wanted posters from what I could see in police boxes, and they were almost all rapist).

i am not being mean here but i saw the news that many people are victims of groping in japan. even boys too

I'm aware of it.
But what I do find fascinating with a couple of those is by how accurately they tend to reflect the architecture in Tokyo sometimes.
At least, if you're not in the middle of all the touristic parts.
Just go further away from all of that, and you'll see what I mean.

when you say every other place, it sounds negative for me. it's not ranked as the peaceful country

Of course I neither said that there's 1 peaceful country and everything else is a total chaos.
In reality, there is no absolute fact that can determine that, which is the very reason safety indexes and such exist.

there are some countries which are ranked like austria, netherlands which are peaceful but japan isn't among them

My own experience tends to say otherwise, but whatevs.
In the end, each country has its issues, there just isn't a perfect utopia to escord to.
