Should recaps be thing in anime?

i have been thinking about this.
should anime get recaps in general? like they do in tv shows?

Considering most japanese watch a lot of anime one week at a time they need it, but for us over here in the states don't really, since we tend to get it all at once.

I don't want it to be entire episodes but 5 minute recaps can be fine for new seasons.

new seasons recap is good then people can easily know if an anime is a sequel or not

It would make people lose interest, if they binge watch an anime.
So, I wouldn't recommend that approach

then we can get a few minutes of recap
and it shouldn't exceed more than 2-3 minutes lol or else we people can get bored

For when airing one episode at a time it might be good but I hate recaps that take a long time so if it's a couple mins then it's ok
