If light had made that deal with Ryuk, I believe he would have escaped from many of that stuff.
That's what I believe. What do you guys think?

I didn't think he would actual reject it. He should have just made friends with Ryuk at least
 
Yes it would be a lot easier. But i don't think i want cut my life into half, i want to enjoy my reign as long as i can, so.. i can understand him

But in the end Light can end L's life despite all the trouble hehe.. that's a good job, he achieve his goal without shortening his life span

Light always believed he was better than anyone so defeat was never in his mind. So it's logical that he'd not want to halve his life.

I think Light with Shinigami eyes could be way to OP, and the series would have ended way to fast, but yeah, that could have been awesome, give L a full understanding of how Shinigamis work and BUM! the series goes up to another level! XD

That could be the case too.If that's how it turned out, then they might have not made L meet light at the end.

That's how I feel
 
If he had made the deal he would have won and would have ruled. Though he simply didn't want to cut down on what time he had.

They both withdrew their ownership of the book, remember? So her powers disappeared. She again makes a deal with Ryuk.
