Set in an advanced era but doesn't make any sense

Do we have any anime that resembles the situation portrayed in the above title?
I just saw a space movie and the astronaut ventured out of the spaceship without any space suit. No matter how advanced it is, they should have made the astronaut panic a bit, but that didn't happen. So I was wondering whether something like this ever happened in anime or not.
 
Most seem like that, since the creators have to balance story and the advance world they are telling.
