Sakura name in anime

what's a unisex name? i don't get the second part at all

A name that's good for both a man and a woman. Which is what you were talking about in your post.
The second part is the name of this thread, which is 'Sakura name in anime', but your question has no relation to it whatsoever.

i was just asking and i didn't know a term like that exists. i was asking whether it's made like that just because it's anime or is it seen in general as well

I could be wrong, but I've never seen it done in animes at least, but never heard of a boy being called Sakura.

Well, I do. There's an anime called Net-juu no Susume, which aired in October(and is over), and it has a lead character named Sakurai. The anime is also pretty good, so you can check it out.

even on haikyuu, there is a protagonist named hinata and that's a name seen in naruto too.

There are many anime names like that. People names are based on with a meaning so it's not at all surprising. People often mistook each other for the opposite gender in Japan

it's confusing to have unisex names for a character or for a real person. they can be mistaken and it's not a good thing
