Unfortunately, I didn't understand much of what's going on in that scene. Why was she singing during a fight?

Does anyone think that the scene from Full Metal Alchemist, when they bury Major Maes Hughes, is one of the saddest scenes you've ever watched?

Going to need to watch the anime to fully understand that or at least the start of the episode.
 
Well we have the moment Jiraiya died, then the moment Gara died in naruto, then Ace in One Piece, Lisanna in Fairytail and in Full Metal Alchemist when the little girl is killed.
 
When Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya get killed in Naruto Shippuden, maybe, to some extent, when Itachi's truth is revealed to Sasuke, when MerryGo gets destroyed in One Piece, Code Geass ending...... There are many other scenes from other anime, but, I can't recall them right now.......
 
The saddest moment in any anime I watched to so far was definitely the one when Aisaka Taiga(????) left Takasu Ryuuji(????) go away from her apartment to go meeting that BI**H of Kusieda Minori(?????) in front of the school gate for the Christmas event and confess his love to her. Before Ryuuji and Minori could meet each other, Taiga cries for Ryuuji and then go out to shout and cry louder than before. Minori, who was walking in that same route, saw her crying and decided to reject Ryuuji. Who has seen this anime only, can understand me.

did you want them to be together? who are you shipping for? id it kueida and taiga or the one ryuuiji and taiga? i might have gotten the genders wrong here.
