I know that it's almost 3 days late but how many of you have actually enjoyed republic day, January 26th?
We had many programs at our school. What about you?

Guess we don't celebrate it here because I've never heard of it.

It is a day to remember when India's constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country's transition toward becoming an independent republic.
It's a special day for us :D
Unfortunately, I slept the entire day as I was too tired.

Well now it makes sense why we don't celebrate it.

Republic day here is also normally a big thing. Programs and celebrations all over and it's a public holiday. Happy republic day to you star though it may be late :)

I guess. Apart from school activities when I was in school I never really attended any celebrations. There are lots though. I guess it's pretty much just another normal day at home for me. Nothing really special. Glad that you enjoyed it hun

Thank you blackrose.
It's a great day and a little tiring too with all the events and such but it's fun nonetheless.

This must be for another country? Or would it be a star wars thing? :P

It's an Indian celebration.
I don't think I would even recognize a starwars reference, to be honest :D
