Reliable laptop brands in India

I think it would be better to go with a cheaper one. We had this talk before. Lifetime of a laptop is quite less... It's not a good idea to spend too much for a laptop

Get a desktop. They are cheaper and more inexpensive. I don't get why people like laptops more and not the desktops. Why would you want to carry a computer around?

I could not agree with this more, you will spend less and get way more for the money you do spend.

Wait for Diwali and go to an actual store and buy. Don't buy something really expensive from Amazon.
Plus the first one costs 100,000. Are you willing to spend that much for a laptop?

Online is the way to go these days, I'd trust my own research over some salesman who will tell me anything just to get his commission on the sale.

Everyone always says they want a laptop for the "convenience" but in the time where I only had a laptop it was a huge inconvenience to unplug everything and transport it to a new location, what I'd recommend is build a PC and then get a cheaper laptop for the stuff you need to do on the go which for me is never although I still like to use my laptop in bed from time to time.

I know building a PC is probably scary for for timers but I will show you how much better it actually is by first comparing the specs of the 100k laptop you send compared with my 1k ($AUD) (converted is probably about 50k) desktop that I built.

The first laptop you sent had a 2.2GHz i7 with 8 GBs or RAM and a 1TB hard drive. Now my custom build PC and mind you it is coming close to 4 years old now has a 3.5GHz i5 with 16GBs of RAM and a 3TB hard drive which I paid half the price for almost 4 years ago imagine building a PC with all the updated parts that are out now you would be miles a head and for mind you even on a budget would be better then both the laptop and my PC and even more even with building a budget PC you would still be able to afford a decent laptop.

But then again everyone has different circumstances and needs so don't take my word for it but if you're interested just do some research first, doing this saved me so much money and time.

I believe you have Black Friday deals and such right?
We have festival deals over here which are a bit different. People buy stuff during these days because of all the offers and discounts.

Yes but these deals are also online all the time.

No you can't build your own laptop. In that case I'd suggest do some research for the best laptop in your price range, I know there are lots tech channels on YouTube which could help you with this. There are many videos that compare some of the best laptops of the year which could help you narrow down one that best suits your needs. But it's your money, do what best suits you.

Amazon is probably an exception but other websites aren't reliable here. Many of my friends learnt that lesson.
Plus it's not like you are gonna need any pitching from a salesman. All you need to do is have a general idea of what you want and get something close to it. I did that when I bought my laptop and TV, and since they were bought during festival season they were relatively cheaper.

Though I do agree that desktops are infinitely better. I don't like laptops at all.

Hmm.... I see.
Thank you. Honestly I am a bit confused. I am aware of the life time of a laptop but high specs are kinda tempting xD

Oh.... But the backlit keyboard is kinda nice to have. It's not like I work during the nights or anything but I have never owned a laptop with backlit keyboard.
As for the online purchase, you could always return if the product is defective ya know.
I prefer Kaspersky antanti virus :P

I agree with this.
Well the anti virus they give works for a month or so. They are mostly trial versions but I do agree that you might get a decent discount offline sometimes.

Actually, thats no trial version.. You can ask for the one which has crack or the one which doesnt require paying money and getting the full thing.. I installed K7 anti virus full version.. Ya just gotta ask the dealer.. Ats all. Sometimes it may incur additional charges but you can bargain..

Desktops are great and see easily customizable man. Laptops on the other hand are short lived and high maintenance.

Back-lit is such a gimmick though. When back-lit keyboards first came out I got one and it was cool and all but after a few weeks you don't even notice it anymore. So I wouldn't go out of your way so much to get one but what ever makes you happy.

I know right. When ever something goes wrong with my PC I don't have to go through warranty and send it away from months on end for something little. If something goes wrong with my PC I can just order a new part and have it fixed with in a week. For example a while ago one of my fans stopped working and it was such a simple fix to order a new one online and just plug it in. On my first laptop which only had one main fan when it broke it had to be send away for months to be fixed.

People don't realize it. New sleaker laptops are attractive for them. When I had to ugrade my RAM, it took me a day to replace it carefully. In laptop it might not have been possible

Yeah well I think most people these days just go for looks and brands over what is really important which is what is inside.

isn't laptop easier to carry? if it isn't for the price it is light in weight. sitting in front of a computer isn't comfortable
