So there isn't a discussion thread for this, and I decided to create one since I finished it a couple of days back. I've been wanting to watch this anime for a long time since my Facebook feed(when I was still using it) was always flooded with Rem and Emilia memes and it annoyed me. And since it was easily available on Netflix I decided to give it a go.
The series has three arcs, the capital or beginning arc, the mansion arc, and the big giant truth of zero arc. The thing I like about Re: Zero is that it's to the point, there's no mind-numbing and boring "world building" that ruins your time like Sword Art Online, you are told only the necessary stuff and the plot quickly moves along. As for the characters, I honestly like Emilia and Rem the most. All others came across as pricks and douche bags and not in a charming way like Kazuma from Kono Suba. I liked the first arc and the second arc, but the third arc really tested my patience, not because it was slow, but because of the actions Subaru took. It's like he's always desperate and can't think anything logical for once. But I can't deny that the anime is extremely entertaining, I wasn't bored for the most part.
The art and animation are surprisingly great, with the occasional sakuga during action sequences. And I really like the character designs. The OP and ED didn't really stick for me, but I really like the soundtrack and background music, a lot of the themes were memorable.
