Do you think usually sequels have high risk factor of not getting enough popularity when compared to the prequels?
I think that's how it is.

Sase said:Sequels naturally have expectations if the prequel is good tbh.. some shows deliver the quality it gave in prequel.. some don't.
Nameless said:It's very difficult to maintain the quality man.
People don't like the same loops and plot twists.
MadaraUchiha said:Usually yes but anime itself is a pretty niche market so if the first season is a big hit and has a lasting impact the successive seasons usually continue to sell well, albeit with diminishing returns each time. Monogatari series is a classic example, Bakemonogatari broke the opening record for Blu-ray sales, and each season after that has continued to sell well.
But something like MHA is different because it's so overwhelmingly popular that people inevitably start watching the next season, especially since there's the argument of season 1 being the worst season.
MadaraUchiha said:I'm not saying it's bad it is quite good but MHA seasons 2 and 3 are far superior.
Star_Of_Hope said:I see.
It's confusing when the same anime is referenced with two names, BNHA and MHA
MadaraUchiha said:All depends on whether you are using the Japanese or English title the other two letters are the same anyway. I mean some people use stuff like HeroAca so at least this is better.
Star_Of_Hope said:It's less confusing.
Usually English titles are not that popular when compared to Japanese titles
MadaraUchiha said:Considering that it's extremely popular internationally and is on Netflix and Hulu most people call it MHA and not BNHA.
