I thought gamers like making high scores and making a name for themselves.

some gamers are competitive and usually those are the TOXIC people there are many non-toxic people but every competitive person i met has been toxic

there's alot of people like me who just play the game to play the game.

(Toxic means someone who's a total ass and usually makes an enemy out of everyone)

I've never played a game where a mic was required. Unless you are in a clan or something....

In a clan and work together you need a mic. No games require one I don't think.

No games require a mic but for some games, it's better to have a mic like Rainbow Six Siege or Fortnite. Call outs are important in those types of games
