Petition to improve the monthly anime voting system

There should be a better system where everyone can put forth like 2 animes they are looking to watch soon (which are viable to watch) and we collect all of them together and randomly pick some number of them out say 4 with a random number generator or something and then vote on that.People who have already watched one or more of the shows can and should also vote because they know which animes are good and they won't be required to watch it again but have the benefit of being able to participate in the discussions. People who don't plan on watching any of the shows can also vote on what they know or hear is good for the rest of us. 

Last one nobody was interested to even vote because the animes were either mediocre or for a niche and the whole poll got only 4 votes. Clara just blindly voted for yuri without knowing anything about it. There was a complete lack of interest and so I figured my system would make people more enthusiastic to vote.

In your system, the random generator one doesn't look good. What if someone recommends something, just because somebody else wanted them to watch?
Also, the current system isn't bad but the only thing is, people don't recommend when they are asked to do so.
So, during the voting time, they wouldn't have their favorite anime in that poll.

I understand that you are upset about Yuri no ice getting picked for this month. Just so you know, SecretWish had been depressed and wouldn't want to even recommend as she believes that, her tastes are weird compared to others.

So, just for this once, we have tried to pick something that would make her happy. I didn't participate for various reasons but those are the reasons behind Madarauciha and claraviolet's votes.

Madarauciha and myself will be watching it along with SecretWish and according to Madarauciha, it gets better and it's like any other shonen anime.

I voted for Yuri on Ice because SecretWish wanted me to. And, I admit, I don't regret watching it. It was pretty good. 
But, I would say that because of preferences of various people, the choices than be put forth are getting limited. No fanservice, blood and romance for Clara, presence of Shonen ai for SecretWish, etc. I don't have any preference, none at all, in terms of genre, and I almost always never read the plot for an anime, and I only depend on its reception in the community, and the aggregate of the MAL score, popularity and number of votes.
So, I think I'm gonna refrain from recommending for now, especially because I'm okay with everything, and people come to complain about stuff that exists.
But, it'd also be great if people recommend stuff that other people have at least heard of. That's why KonoSuba was my No. 1 choice. This is really important because I'm in no way going to watch random stuff like Battery or something. 

As far as recommending stuff is concerned, we have no choice but to limit ourselves to 12/13 episode series due to time constraints, plus loss in interest. So, taking all this into account, we do have some avenues to look into. The best would be light novel adaptations. They are always done for promotion anyway so most don't get a sequel. And they have enough action, fantasy and plot so that should probably satisfy most people.

I'm fine with 24 but a few people said they won't be able to but if we are going with 24 our options are a lot more. There's a lot of 12/13 anime with 12/13 episode sequels so we can watch those too. Like KonoSuba, with 20.

Sorry to intrude but it's not about the anime that you have recommended. It's about the polling and such. Not many of us are into other anime genre that are not shonen.
So, we are trying to create some sort of decent system here.

Yeah but if we are gonna do that it needs to be done in an organised way. And not in a haphazard manner. Someone has to take responsibility to post threads every week. And, other people shouldn't interfere.

Think you're best suited for that. Also you never said if you like the system I suggested.Need yours and a lot of other people's opinions to perfect it.

We are asking for recommendations and we are making a poll, to select the anime for that month.
It doesn't really get anymore better than that.

Well, then I don't really see any more advantage for this method. In fact, it seems to be a long process and after the first two months, it would be tiring.

Alright, we'll try this for the next 2-3 months. But, the reommendations have to be cool too. I'll try to recommend mainstream ones as much as possible, but others have to recommend crowd-pleasing ones too, since we are randomizing the polling choices and the ones that get selected should be good options.
