PC Gaming Dying?

A while ago you use to be able to go into a shop like Game and buy games for the PC / desktop platforms, but these days you cannot really- it is all Xbox or PS4. What are your thoughts on this? Do you like PC Gaming?

PC is now more and more used for work and not for much entertainment. We now have things like Xbox and Playstation to play games.

It is. Console gaming makes more money. A game on a PS4 costs 60$ while on PC costs 30$. Plus, a console is cheaper and lasts a lot longer than a PC. Consoles are used primarily for gaming purposes. To give an example, the best-selling game on the PS3 and Xbox 360(technically) is Grand Theft Auto 5. It sold more than 20 million units and 15 million units respectively. It also sold 15 million units on the PS4 and 6 million units on Xbox One. Guess how much it sold on PC? A little over a million.
PC is also susceptible to piracy.

PC might be less popular for casual games but for really competitive games like dota2, csgo and starcraft like games. PC is still very much the platform for indie game developers because of how much you can do on a PC compared to Xbox and PS platforms which don't offer any modding options. People who love performance will still stick to PCs and hence there will always be a market for PC games. Being able to pirate games
But yeah its kind of dying for casual games.

Gaming consoles are getting cheaper. So may be pc gaming will die completely before we know it

Sorry for butting in the middle of conversation, but anyway... PC MASTER RACE WINS!!!
... Come on, we cannot just forget Gabe-sensei's deed XD

There will always be computer games. Just because you can't see them on sale in stores doesn't mean it's dying. There are many websites that sell computer games and plus there is Steam where you can buy and download computer games and play them right away.

I disagree. I think the main reason why less PC games are sold in store is because no one really buys discs, they prefer to use platforms like Steam which makes it so much easier to play your games

I think this as well. Steam and others like it make things so much easier.

PC games are usually on stream now since most of PC gamers use those applications for gaming. I have not seen a PC game in stores for a while so they are not dying.
