First things first, I have Stated I am not a fan on this type of Manga but it's been recommended to me by a few people so i gave it a shot. After all everything deserves a chance.

Description:
In an alternate future, a series of technologically advanced domed cities stand in a destitute landscape. Life is perfect, comfortable, and controlled within their walls.

Ever since he was two, Shion was raised as a gifted elite citizen inside the model city No. 6, destined for a life of privilege. On the night of his 12th birthday, he shelters a boy referring to himself as Nezumi (“Rat”) from a storm. Nezumi is a fugitive of the city, having escaped from No. 6’s Special Security Area. The result of his actions strips Shion of his elite status, ending the future he was born for.

Little does Shion know that his choice on that fateful night would bring him even more drastic changes to his life and a government conspiracy to unfold.

Personal Opinion: I'm not a fan of the particular Genre's "Sci-Fi, Shounen Ai" As I do not enjoy them as much as others. But if enough recommendations for a manga no matter the genre i will give it a chancel, i can never promise that i'll finish it if i cannot stand it but there are those that i do find i end up enjoying, No.6 Was one of those. As for my personal opinion, i kinda wished they continued the story and had showed the future, but alas it was a good manga in the end, The art wasn't completely to my liking but it was still a good read.

If you enjoy any of the genre's above i recommend this manga.

Ranking: [X] Means it checks the box [/] Doesn't completely satisfy [?] not sure

Personal Ranking: 7.5/10
[X] Manga complete?
[/] Great Art?
[X] Stunning storyline?
[X] Fantastic Character design?

Explanation on the reduction of my rating:
I feel they could have done more, but they ended it at a good point as to not oversaturate it, The art wasn't my favorite but i am very picky. Everything else was great.

@"SecretWish" I know you've been waiting for my opinion, I'm sorry it took a bit longer than i thought it would. I appreciate you suggesting this as a read. Thank you.

i am so glad that you have enjoyed it. i was crying at the end when nezumi left behind shion and gone somewhere. i was looking for a happy ending but it didn't have one. did you like the ending?

sounds interesting, at the same time this reminds me of a movie I watched long ago called Blue Submarine No. 6 which I think had the same kind of plot.

I watched 2 episodes of the anime,  got bored out of my mind and dropped it. The surprising thing was that the animation and action were average even though it was a Studio Bones show.

I did enjoy it, but i did kind of wish they went a bit further to show the future as well.

Hm I'll have to look into the movie, while i may not watch it i'm curious

i did not watch the anime but i get what you mean, less action = more boredom for some but i dive into alot of stuff

i wanted nezumi and shion to live happily as the walls are finally torn down. but it didn't get to that point and the future seems bleak too

No you misunderstood i'm not an action guy I was just merely surprised that a Bones show had underwhelming action and animation.
