Music/definition

Yes, I've seen people who define their entire character with the music genre they listen to.
 
I am not so sure how to answer this.
Sometimes you like something and there would be no explanation for it.

It does give you a better understanding of them in a sense though...just my opinion :)

Though they may be different types of music, there is bound to be at least one similarity in them. I'm not saying that it will tell you exactly who someone is, just that it might help you to better understand them or certain things about them ;)

That I can't disagree with, liking something and not having a particular reason is common but when it comes to music, I believe that there is so much more to it than just an art form
