When luffy came back from training with rayleigh and dodged those lasers like a boss from the kuma dudes and then beat him with one supersonic punch.

Given that they were all exhausted it wouldn't have made sense. Besides we had a whole boss fight before that so it would have been a bit boring.

but i don't remember zoro fighting anyone strong in that arc and wanted him to be under the glory with luffy

Honestly I think Luffy was the only one who had a boss fight in that arc. And I didn't really like the fight. The best part of that arc is the comedy.

That was a standout moment but I found that it was overall a pretty funny and well-paced arc when I rewatched it with my sister. Brook was also introduced.
