Almost everyone has a camera on a device today. My question is do you still use an actual camera by itself not attached to a phone?

I don't have any actual phone.
My friend got one and he is interested in photography.

My parents have their own standalone camera, since my phone has one I really don't need a second camera.

We used to have a digital camera till 2014 butn it stopped working due to old age. 
I don't really like using cameras so we didn't get a new one.

Ok understandable about the parents. See what I'm saying about phone tech though? Once you have a phone with a camera you don't use the actual thing. For instance do you use the one that your parents have?

i have one but it doesn't work.
i don't know why i haven't thrown it out but it used to be my uncle's and i liked him a lot.
