I do like Naruto, just not in my top list.
As for Kakashi, I have many reasons. I feel like ending it there, to quote Kakashi, but I'll explain a bit. He's strong, handsome, witty, silent, sarcastic, thoughtful, and my number one reason: He has a deep and dark past that really changed him in many ways at different points in his life.
To go in further on that character development:
As a child, he cared about friends and comrades. Then his father committed suicide and everything changed; everything had to be by the rules and close relationships only got a shinobi into trouble. Then he loses both his comrades, which helped to start opening his eyes to believing in Obito's words (those who break rules are scum, but those who would abandon their comrades/friends are worse than scum). I feel like Kakashi is one of those characters that goes through the most personal changes and finally settles on who he is.
