Who do you think will win?
The god votes for minato as he is a true prodigy!
What do you think and who will win this battle?

Minato, without a doubt.....He's faster, more intelligent, and more innovative and improvising.......

Do you really think he can surpass his master?
I don't think he's got what it takes to beat jirayiya.

Of course......He has done many great things, and has invented many great jutsus, like 'Flying Thunder of God', and Rasengan.....

Minato, students tend to surpass the master. Although, Jiraiya was more accomplished with sage art than Minato, so that is an advantage. But with Minato's speed and basic grasp on sage art, plus being a genius and prodigy, would put him a step up. Minato was always good with ninja skills since the beginning, whereas Jiraiya (like Naruto) struggled to become great. Based on techniques though, I would say Minato would win since Minato can do anything Jiraiya can do (since Jiraiya taught it to him) plus more, adding on the speed and sealing techniques.

Does minato can summon a beast or travel through dimensions like jirayiya?

Yes he can summon toads. As shown in the anime multiple times, even in the first episode (first scene of the series actually) of the original Naruto series. And Jiraiya can travel through dimensions?

I read that in the battle between tsunade and jirayiya,
I think @Sindar or @MadaraUchiha mentioned that point.

Never heard that Jiraiya (or for that matter anyone, Obito aside) can travel through dimensions. And I also think Minato has an apper hand in this battle. More than anything, I think out of those two Minato is the only one who would be able to go in with a killing intend, Jiraiya is too humane.

Glad to see you again @MelloLily ^^/ Its been a while. How are you doing? =)

I'm not bad off, not much to tell.

But somebody said clearly that he can, for sometime to protect himself.

Maybe they were talking about his technique where he "goes inside" a toad, as he did a few times before his fight with Pain. That is not a fighting technique though.

Even so, he can get some time that way and time means everything in a battle.

I don't know. He never used it during a fight, maybe there are serious drawbacks to it. Like maybe it is too slow to be useful.

Or his opponents are far too weak or he didn't find it necessary in a battle?
Those are also logical conclusions.

Jirayiya can use chakra and is powerful.
He is truly powerful and can take down minato. he can use dirty tricks.

My thoughts exactly.
I don't remember him using any beast.

Wow, Minato can use chakra and is powerful too, that argument was lame.
First episode of original Naruto series, first scene, do you not see that huge toad Minato summoned? Even Jiraiya has admitted to Minato being a true genius and prodigy, even better than himself.
