Hello! Thank you for looking at my thread! now i know i said i ha some "recommendations" BUT I'm posting these in reviews as they are MY OWN PERSONAL LOOK on these manga i will add in the description and ranking chapters ect.
PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE IS A ANIME TO THE CORRESPONDING MANGA AS I LOVE TO READ OVER WATCHING SO IF THERE IS PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR NOT RESEARCHING!!
The first manga i will review is:
Tokyo ESP
Ranking: 282
Author: Segawa Hajime (Story & Art)
Chapters: 67 (Comes out with one every 2-3 weeks)
Status: Ongoing
Source: MangaReader
Categories: Action, Adventure, Shounen, Supernatural, Ecchi, Schi-fi
Description: Urushiba Rinka was a fairly normal high school girl, though she was a bit poor and her only family was her father. Then one day, she saw a penguin and some glowing fish swimming through the sky. Rinka might have thought it wqas a hallucination if there hadn't been another witness with her, a boy from her school with a strangely scratched-up face. Contact with a fish caused her to pass out, and when she awoke, she had developed the power to move through inanimate objects... Such as the floor of her apartment! Later, a call from her father showed her she was not the only one the flying fish bestowed with hard-to-control superpowers! What exactly is going on here? And does Rinka's classmate know more about this situation than he's letting on?
Personal review: Though i think the manga could have explained more on how the powers work and the origin as well as some unanswered question's! though i will not state any of those questions! As you should experience them yourself the story line is fantastic though the wait for the next chapters will annoy some readers!! My personal rating would be: 7/10.
Second manga i will review is:
Kurogane
Ranking: 14
Author: Ikezawa Haruto
Chapters: 85
Status: Complete
Source: Batoto(EN)
Categories: Action, Comedy, Romance, Shounen, Supernatural, School Life, Martial Arts
Description: Kurogane Hiroto is in high-school, where he is academically the top of his class but literally the worst in physical activity. Born with a weak body, he has no endurance, speed nor strength and Hiroto wants nothing more than to be a hero. Fate teases him be giving him phenomenal eyesight, which allows him to see well beyond anyone else in sports, but his body is not able to react to any of it.
He learns from his friend Shiratori, who wants to recruit him for the Kendo team, about a rumor about a ghost named Tojo Sayuri, who wields a katana and haunts an alley in the city. Half curious, Hiroto goes there only to find the ghost is real and that Yojo Sayuri has been looking for the successor to her Sakura sword style for 150 years. Sayuri chooses him as the successor after being able to dodge her attack and forces him to learn the Sakura style. Even with the help of the ancient swordsman ghost, Hiroto has to overcome his poor motor skills in order to be the hero he always wanted to be.
Personal review: I absolutely love Hiroto's "powerful eyesight" to be honest i wish i had that good of eyes haha off topic my bad! Honestly the cut some things out in the end, As it sorta skips some things BUT that has nothing to do to how amazing the manga is! It's a very nice break from all the life and death fights and more on pride/honor of a kendo swordsman/woman I also love how it focuses on the small details as how the Sakura swordsmaster had stopped the line of kinship, there will be no spoilers My personal rating would be: 6.5/10 as i said there are gaps
The third and final and my personal favorite from these three i will review is:
Kingdom
Ranking: 39
Author: Hara Yasuhisa
Chapters: 461 (comes out with one every 3-4/4-5 weeks)
Status: Ongoing
Source: MangaFox
Categories: Action, Drama, Historical, Seinen
Description: Millions of years have passed since the times of legends, when the worlds of man and gods were still the same. In these times it was the desires of man that moved the world. It is the era of the 500 year war: The warring states period. Kingdom is the story of a young boy named Xin who grew into a Great General and all the trials and bloodshed that lead him here.
Personal review: I love this type of manga so of course i would be drawn to it, hell just reading the description again makes me want to reread it again (would be the 7th time >..>) it is VERY detailed on the characters as well as on the situation and locations it does not focus just on the main character it spreads it among even some of the side characters Though there is foul language and gore as well some partial nudity i would recommend anyone that love historical type manga. My personal ranking would be: 9/10 due to the slow chapter releases.
Now i want to apologize for putting 3 different manga into one review post but i did not want to make a spam post on 3 different ones when i could easily fit them into one also if i had made and grammatical errors in my personal description I'm sorry.
Please note the delayed post was due to WiFi at the REC center going down i had to come to the library to post it haha i hope you enjoyed my post
