Learning Japanese to Understand Anime

A real fan might take a giant leap and decide to learn Japanese or even visit Japan.  Do you think you might be a candidate?  Anyway, the spoken Japanese looks simple enough, but I think the alphabet is difficult, unlike Korean which is all based on sounds, not words.

I would love to learn just to learn it, as i have motion sickness i wouldn't be able to go to Japan but still I love the language.

I'd love to visit Japan. And, I did take a one year course during my second year in University(in third year right now) in Japanese, and it was pretty cool. And, actually, the two main scripts, Hiragana and Katakana are pretty easy, especially when you practice. Kanji, the script taht's based on Chinese characters, is a pain though.

I would like to vist japan but I don't have money to go that far just to have some fun

if i can easily learn then i will learn it. at this age, it would be very difficult and i can't learn it. but japanese people are good enough to use subtitles for all the anime.

I've always wanted to know a second language any really but I'm not willing to put in the time and effort for it.

I don't think it's easy to learn Japanese. I wouldn't want to waste my time mastering it when I can get the knowledge by the subtitles of every anime.

It might be more enjoyable in the native language.  You know, it's kind of like how reading a book (of any fiction, not just anime/manga), according to some, is better than watching the movie.  Anyway, of course, the bad side of this idea is that few people would be able to enjoy anime to the fullest degree.

Well, i am not obsessed with learning Japanese just to understand Anime.
I am aware of certain words and I am okay with subtitles, so I don't see the point of learning it.

cool star but if you got an opportunity
would you learn it if you got time and cool resources that can help you?
