You are right. It's difficult to explain and I am a bit surprised that you got it sase. I was thinking of the word other states people would be using.
I didn't know that Tamil got the same name for it

Ayyy...its the same here. Dosham, parikaram, homam.... Some words are similar.. I guess. In Kannada, i use those same words

I see. That's great then. I believe they are Sanskrit words and that's why they are all similar, as they belong to the same language family

Yep.. Must be.. Sankrit .. Mother of all languages..

Indeed. I wonder if anyone even speak Sanskrit now. Everyone learns that language but no one uses it. I wonder why

Only while reciting mantras qnd slokas.. Ya can see people use sanskrit or reading something related to vedas.

Indeed. When I was young I thought they are very old native language words.
I didn't know that they were Sanskrit words.
Even now, I don't completely understand those mantras to be honest

Nope.. Ya cant understand it on your own.. Ya should ask those scholars to know the meaning.. Same with Tamil mantras.. But some of them are quite easy to understand the meaning..

I see.
I never thought of asking meaning for those mantras. They learn them, in their vade patasala. They will find it hard to explain things to us

Yeah...like they cant explain the meaning of all mantras.. But ya can know the purpose of a particular mantra and the overall meaning it carries.. That is possible.. Ya can ask the aachar or the the guy who does the pooja.. Makes me wonder.. I gotta ask ya something.. I'll pm ya.

I see. That should be enough.
Even they refer to books sometimes. It's not possible even for them to remember and know the meaning of every word in mantras

For 12 years? I thought it's ... about 6-8 years or so.
I didn't know that it's for that long.
They wouldn't get a formal education at all.

I see. That makes sense. Well i never saw any poojari using English or any other language for that matter

Well considering that they don't follow our complete educational courses that's no surprise

Indeed. They wouldn't consider it a wrong thing to learn English though.
