Yeah a bit since I've been learning Japanese by my own for more than 6 months now.

Well, to be honest you need some money to buy books, dictionaries and other stuff. You need to join in groups where other people speak the same native language as yours who're better than you in the language you want to learn and who can give you help. And you need consistency and commitment in the studying. After that, you need to practice everyday the language with native speakers or just chat with them. You will learn things day after day. When you have the money, just go to a private course and when you're ready go to the main Country where they speak that language and after years you'll be very good at that language. I'm still at the beginning
