Well, I remember those moments and I agree that pre time skip is very good. I wonder when one piece turned out to be a very serious anime.

I guess post-time-skip each major arc had at least 50 chapters/episodes. Dressrosa ~120 episodes, and Wholecake Island nearing 90.

I see. Dressrosa arc can never be funny with ceasar trying to play with children's lives. This wholecake island is somehow not funny to me.
There are funny moments but they can't be compared to the zombie joke.

That's Punk Hazard arc, not Dressrosa. Dressrosa is the Colosseum/Doflamingo arc.

A police officer pulls over a guy
Police officer : Please step out of the vehicle 
Guy: nah you come in I'm to wasted to get out

There was a guy that wanted to get married but had no one to marry. He was advised to place an add in the paper so he did. It read "Wife wanted". the next day he received millions of responses. He was so excited but they all read
" Come take mine" 

kinda stale but still funny
