Is skipping an anime Opening giving a disservice to those who worked on it?

If I don't like openings all that much, I do skip them and that happens a lot with One piece openings

Not really no, it’s the same with any show I never tend to watch the opening and just skip it so I can watch what I came to watch haha

The people who worked on it get paid regardless if you watched it or not.

I watch OPs for 3 episodes, I skip them afterwards regardless of the quality except for the final episode and I usually download the song alone if I like it.

I don't think it's a disservice. @MadaraUchiha approach is a pretty good solution, if you felt you were doing the team a disservice.

and i am sure not many usually watch those openings a lot. endings too.

No one should be forced to watch anything.
This should be what everyone should believe in and there is no such thing as wasting one's effort when it comes to your preferences.
